 Customer Web Portals
|

 |
E-mail and FTP technologies have had a considerable influence on day-to-day business of prepress and media companies. Many companies still try to manage and improve the information flow between customers, consultants and production department. ARAMIS' customer web portal is the ideal solution to organize this diversified information flow and make it more transparent for the involved, increasing lucidity and efficiency of job processing, and present a service that will effectively assure you of your customers' loyalty.
The basic principle
All steps from the first customer request to archiving a job can be monitored and controlled in the ARAMIS customer portal. All you need is a standard web browser to access any information on a job: job parameters, job status, proofs, source files, correspondence, revision requests and cost trends. You can determine yourself which information every portal user can see and edit.
Once a work step has been done, authorized users can confirm it with OK. The ARAMIS web portal will then send an e-mail to every person that needs to be informed about the commencement of the next step. A link in this e-mail allows its recipients to directly reach the web portal and edit the pending work step. Steps can also be revised, e.g. when a correction is requested by the customer. This approach not only is extremely user friendly but also allows you exact and up-to-date monitoring of activities: Who did or wrote what and when.

ARAMIS' customer web portal lets you create an individual workflow for each customer, considering diverse procedures and requirements among your customers. Let us illustrate with a typical example: |
|
1. Compile job information
Even before the project has started, your customers can use your web portal to prepare the assignment by compiling information. |
2. Requesting/Committing job information
Let customers submit information on their job through the ARAMIS web portal, directly or complemented by quotations (not on screenshot). |
3. Production
Consultants can use the portal to kick off the production stage, creating job assignments in-house and notifying the production department. You can request further information from the customer through the web portal. Also, you can offer full cost control by using ARAMIS' quantity and time sheets on the portal - if desired. |
4. PDF proofing
When the operator provides a file for approval, your consultant and subsequently the customer will be informed. Automatisms can further simplify this process. |
5. Customer approval
A file can be approved by single persons as well as several departments through the web portal. The usage of proofing tools like ESKO WebCenter or Kodak RealTimeProof can be included. When necessary, the job is returned to the production department. (step 3) |
6./7. Approval
Customers can clear a job for finishing (step 6) and independently start further processing, usually the print job (step 7). |
8. Further processing / print
Depending on order type you can finish a job yourself or commit it to another service provider which can easily be integrated into the web portal to reduce unnecessary transfer losses and redundancies. |
9. Archiving
Depending on order type you can finish a job yourself or commit it to another service provider which can easily be integrated into the web portal to reduce unnecessary transfer losses and redundancies. |

Large enterprises as well as small ones already take advantage of the ARAMIS internet portal. The system's flexibility is a crucial advantage: you can customize not only design and layout (in-house, with knowledge of PHP), but also all input fields for job information, each customer's workflow, user rights, e-mail content, interfaces for other portals and system, and much more.
Our customers use ARAMIS' internet portal to exchange information with customers, partner companies and print shops. They even offer portals as payable services. And some of our customers would not want to miss the internet portal - for internal organisation purposes! The best customer loyalty we can think of!
